Why Do I Have: Lose Of Appetite, Pain In Back On Left Side, Nauseous?

Before I read everything my first thought was immediately kidney stones, My husband has had them twice and his symptoms were intermittent pain on the left side, nausea, and loss of appetite. Thought it would be a slam dunk! But it should have shown up in a urine test. How high or low is the pain? I have GERD and your symptoms really don't fit for that. That would be pain in the stomach itself and also heartburn, severe heartburn and acid reflux. Just doesn't sound like it. It could be Gastritis if the pain is high in the middle or left side. Gastritis really just an inflamed stomach. If you think you may have that try changing your diet for awhile and see if you feel any better. No fats, fresh fruit and veggies but stay away from anything acidic such as oranges (even juice), keep your diet rather bland and see if you feel any difference. I wish I could have been more help as I know how miserable this can be. I've been hospitalized because of this and have had many trips to the ER for Demerol from the severe pain. Try taking some Prilosec and see if it helps. It changed my life! It takes a couple of hours to kick in but lasts all day when it does. If you do have GERD or even Gastritis this should help. Good luck and I hope you feel better very soon.
