Creator/Prime Mover unnecessary?

A scientific theory which has been steadily gaining ground lately is that the Big Bang was not the beginning. But rather a part of a never-ending cycle of Big Bang, Big Crunch, Big Bang, ad infinitim. If this is true it means that the Universe never had a beginning therefore could never have had a Prime Mover or Creator. Am I correct in this essment. If not, what is my flaw in reasoning?
