Why do you think hemp cultivation is still illegal in the United States?

The progressives (now known as liberals) were paid a boat load of cash by paper and rope companies to fight to have it banned in the US under the pretense that it makes you violent and messes up your life. I personally believe that all drugs should be decriminalized and that we should be held accountable for our actions.
