Is the exact DNA sequence of a DNA strand completely made into a protein?

I know that DNA is transcripted into RNA, from there mRNA goes to the ribosome and the tRNA brings in the amino acids for translation. What I'm not sure about is if the exact DNA sequence is made completely into a protein, taking into account the stop/start codons. Please help, and thank you!
