Question about histology.?

I recently just got accepted into a private university. They are one of the few schools in the area that provide the Histotechnology program and I did further reasearch on it & found it quite interesting. I like the fact that I will be cutting through tissue and examining them in microscopes and preparing slides and all that to help pathologists diagnose diseases. I like to feel that i've made a difference in the world Do you think this would make a good career?
