So what do i do next?

Okay so me and this guys have been talking on and off for like 2 years.we never dated because i wasnt ready for a relationship. Well i finally was last time and then he told me he was dating some one. The girl turned out to be a real ***** and he broke up with her lik 5 days ago. Before he did me and him had talked about fixing things and getting back together.I texted him the other day and he told me they broke up and i asked what he was gonna do next.He said he was going to take things as they come. I dont know what that means.I messaged him and told him he should come over and hang out but he really hasnt said anything.SHould i call him or let him make the move. Maybe he just wants to be single for awhile or maybe he is waiting on me. I really dont know what to do but im afraid if i dont make a move fast he will be gone. HELP please ;)
