Is it okay for me to get this girl a christmas gift?

I don't know her that well but I like her and want to give her a gift -- a christmas tree ornament that Im gonna make. I'm not expecting anything from her but is it weird to get her something since I don't know her that well and would it make her feel uncomfortable?
